Bangladesh sweat shop?
After the building collapse in Bangladesh I want my dollars to say “pay people better and spend the money to make sure they are working in a safe environment.”
I heard there is talk that the businesses do not like the bad pr and are planning to close shop in Bangladesh and find another country to exploit. They are blaming the country for the conditions as if they had no idea.
Take control of your manufacturing and know what the conditions are. You have the power since you have the green.
I find it hard enough to see all the out sourcing which leads to higher unemployment in my own country, but to know that they (the royal they of corporate business) are putting workers at risk by turning a blind eye ticks me off too.
Argh!
I wonder where those shoes are made….
