Bus stop drawing

image

Sketch by Theresa Janzen

The bus past 6 times over-full. But I had a nice chat with a chef. She and I eventually walked the 26 minutes to our destination.
Plus I drew this drawing while waiting.

Today I had a lovely day. I need to work smarter not harder.

  1. I was once advised by a corporate safety coordinator that a good practice is getting out of your routine … take a different route to work or go to a different grocery store. I thought this was for “safety” but she said it was actually just a personal tip from her about keeping your mind active. Your lovely drawing is a happy result of bus agony. What good can come from a hickup in routine. Love!

    • I totally agree! I have decided to take my journal with me and in one direction I am writing my thoughts (front to back) and the other I am trying to do a doodle each day (well or as often as I feel myself waiting for transit or a movie or…well any reason really). So in the end I will have my words mixed with illustrations. I am curious to see if the illustrations will reflect the words on the page in some quirky manner.

I think I will try taking a new route to church tomorrow. I got some cool pictures the last time I did that (last year!!). A fresh perspective on life helps as well.

Thanks for the comment and the tip.
